There were some ongoing rumors about the upcoming release of Verizon iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 and as the days go by these rumors are getting louder and louder. These speculations even mentioned a January release for these Verizon iPhone models. And as expected Verizon and Apple remain silent about the issue and refused to give some comments about it.
However, an analyst connected with Gleacher and Co. named Brian Marshal said that Apple is set to launch an iPhone through Verizon Wireless by March next year. Apparently, this upcoming iPhone is also expected to be available not only in the US, but in various countries worldwide as well.
Another report proving this fact is Wall Street Journal’s report about Apple in which the said company was mentioned to presently manufacturing a CDMA-capable iPhone and this device will be available starting next year. This iPhone model is reported to be at the AP field test stage already, which is basically the last stage before its final release to the market.
Apparently, this iPhone would be Verizon’s iPhone 4 and also includes a SIM card slot, which could enable the phone to come up with global roaming capabilities. A better antenna design is also expected with this iPhone model, which seems to be some very good news isn’t it.
On the other hand, the next generation iPhone 5 is reported to be in the EVT stage or the engineering verification test phase, which is not as close as the other iPhone model, which is already on the AP field test stage. Most probably this iPhone model will be hitting the market at a much later date next year perhaps by summer 2011.
Well, the upcoming release of these two new models for Verizon will definitely be beneficial for Apple because it will surely increase the sales of the iPhone as Verizon has many subscribers out there. Brian Marshall has also forecast that Apple could even reach at least 11.5 million sales in 2011 because of the release of this two upcoming models form Verizon Wireless.
For now, these are only the available information regarding Verizon’s upcoming iPhone models. Let us just wait for Apple and Verizon’s official announcement very soon.
