The Atlantis Paradise Island is a resort and waterpark located on Paradise Island, The Bahamas. The resort was created by South African hotel magnate Sol Kerzner and Kerzner International Limited. Paradise Island first opened its Coral and Beach Towers as the Trump Plaza, then changed its name to Atlantis when the Royal Towers were built. Both the Coral and Beach towers are completely refurbished inside to have the same theme as the Royal Towers.
The Coral Towers were chosen by Travel + Leisure magazine to be the best hotel to stay in. Atlantis Paradise Island has had a new edition added on, called the Cove and Reef Atlantis. The project was over 4 billion dollars, half the cost of the construction of the Royal Towers.
